Healing Ministry
OUR MISSION:
The Healing Ministry of Mother of God Catholic Church provides a personal “love of Jesus Christ” outreach to those parishioners who are physically unable to attend and participate in the Holy Mass and receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Volunteer members of the Healing Ministry Team provide prayer, visitation and administering the Holy Eucharist, weekly or daily, pending upon the needs and/or requests of the parishioner. Father Vincent Phung provides the administering of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, the Holy Eucharist, and the Anointing of the Sick.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church asserts that: “Christ’s compassion toward the sick and his many healings of every kind of infirmity are a resplendent sign that ‘God has visited his people’ and that the Kingdom of God is close at hand.”
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that: “Because Holy Communion is a sign of unity with the Catholic Church, only those who believe what the Catholic Church teaches and are living as a member of the Catholic Church, can receive Holy Communion.”
